I did not expect this approach at all, but found it to be actually very interesting. It points out things that may seem obvious, but for that reason we may not usually think about them. There, we really have guidance to think about food in its practical and social aspects. And we even get a recipe from the author's original world, which is really the cherry on top.
Wow. I was expecting more exemple of dishes, and less in depth societal world building, but I'm all here for it. That's an extremely impressive work. 5 stars
